Larissa, Greece

Larissa is the capital and largest town of the Thessalia region of Greece and capital of the Larissa regional unit. It's a principal agricultural centre and a national transportation hub, coupled by road and rail with the port of Volos, the town of Thessalonica and Athens. Today, Larissa is a major business and industrial centre in Greece. Legend has it that Achilles was born here, and that Hippocrates, the daddy of medicine, died here. If you go make certain to see out the traditional Greek Theater, Second Theater, the archaeologic museum of Larissa, G I Katsigras depository, the Historical & traditional knowledge museum, and the St. Achilios Cathedral of the town.
