SPAIN’S WORLD HERITAGE CITIES , CÁCERES

Declared World Heritage City since 1986, Cáceres symbolizes a noble city par excellence in the medieval world. Here you can enjoy a walk along its streets, where the color of the stone is in contrast with the blue sky.
Caceres
Declared the Third European Monumental Site, and the First in Spain, it houses remains from the Roman, Arab, Jewish and Christian cultures. Its museums, interpretation centers, exhibition halls, walls, towers, churches, palaces and Jewish quarters make it a truly “Charming City,” where visitors can enjoy both its history and festivals, especially Cáceres’ Holy Week, declared to be of International Tourist Interest, or the WOMAD Festival, which features art, music and dance.
Caceres Aljibe
Cáceres combines antiquity and modernity; it is a place where monuments of the past coexist harmoniously with new technologies announcing a promising future, because Cáceres is a contemporary city, a city of the 21st century that looks to the future without forgetting the past.
