PRINCEVILLE, HAWAII
You have to hike a rocky landscape to get here, but this large emerald swimming hole with stunning Pacific Ocean views, located outside of Princeville, North Kauai, is worth the search. During the summer months, waves spray into the natural bath, constantly refreshing the serene pool with cold water. (Note that the surf during the winter months is too rough for swimmers.) Bring snorkel gear if you can -- small fish and crustaceans also like to congregate here.
