South Beach style on the Black Sea

Chic beachclub brand Puro is carving quite a name for itself at holiday destinations around Europe: Mallorca, Marbella, the Algarve and, most recently, Montenegro. Its next port of call is somewhat less well-known, at least to British travellers: the Romanian resort of Mamaia, on the Black Sea.
As with its predecessors, Puro Black Sea is designed to appeal to glamorous holidaymakers, to clubbers and well-groomed sunseekers. It has a pool, a restaurant and bar, poolside beauty salon and - less pedicure-friendly - its own private beach. A kind of St Trop-Miami Beach feel runs throughout, from the sleek white sunbeds to the live DJ sets and pool parties, where dance music plays long into the early hours.
Mamaia itself has become increasingly popular with Romanian holidaymakers and newly affluent Eastern Europeans, who come for its long, white-sand beaches and warm water, its five-star hotels and glitzy nightlife. For the young jet-set who party here, Puro will be one of the hottest tickets of the summer.
The convenient location makes it easy to reach from the city center of Constanta, just taking a right turn from Mamaia drive.
